Those are the numbers of days left until Christmas and New Year’s Eve, respectively. I remind you of this not because I want you to get on the gift shopping and NYE plans (although you probably should) but to tell you to get on your wedding vendor shopping!

If you are getting married in 2009, now is a great time to book those last few vendors that you haven’t secured. I know, I know, you are probably thinking I am crazy. After all, you still have Holiday expenses coming up, you need a new outfit for New Year’s Eve but hear me out.

Christmas and New Year’s Eve are two of the most popular times for proposals and if these new brides and grooms want to get married in 2009, they will start planning as soon as that shiny ring is out of the box and on the bride’s finger.  Wedding vendor’s phones go CRAZY and they often find their yearly schedules filling up right after the 1st of the year due to these newly engaged couples.

So, if you have any major holes in your vendor roster (like planner, photographer, videographer, DJ, florist or your locations) get on the phone now and beat the Christmas rush.

Consider yourself nudged or nagged, you’ll thank me for it later.
