Emilie Duncan Event Planning is a boutique operation. I personally meet with every client, I am at every wedding and never book more than one wedding a weekend. That being said, I always have assistants and/or interns with me on wedding days.
At this time we are NOT HIRING for any positions and our internship positions for the year have been filled.
If you would like to send your resume for consideration should a position does become available, please send your resume and cover letter to email@example.com.
A few things to keep in mind before you send in your resume: we look for hard working, self starters who aren’t afraid to dive in and get their hands dirty. Friday, Saturday and possibly some Sunday work is required as is a wonderful attitude and the ability to roll with the punches. Feel free to take this opportunity to impress me – attention to detail is a must and a flair for the fabulous is encouraged. Please note: phone calls and contact sent through third party websites will be disregarded.
I take that last bit very seriously – if you can’t follow this one simple request, you will not be considered for a position with Emilie Duncan Event Planning. If that seems harsh to you, the wedding industry may not be for you. Really. Asking you to take the time to send a formal cover letter and resume rather than calling shows me your attention to detail, your ability to do a bit of research and tells me whether you are willing to take the time to follow these directions. These are all things I would look for in an assistant and someone who is going to be representing my company to the public – my name is on this business and I take those who represent it very seriously!
