Etsy Find Friday: Mr. and Mrs. Silverware

Friday, September 10th, 2010

One of my clients actually bought these vintage forks with Mr. and Mrs. stamped in them from the Beach House Living shop.  She and her new husband will be using them to feed each other cake on the wedding day!  Aw, love it!

Since the forks are vintage, the forks are pretty much one of a kind so if you love a pattern in their shop, buy it quickly!

Etsy Find Friday: Six Degrees Wedding Chart

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

I am nosy.  I admit it.  I love knowing the back history, I love knowing how other people know each other and how they all relate.  I often ask how people are interconnected so when I saw this, I loved it immediately!

Now this is a splurge at $745 but I just thought this was so cool I couldn’t not share!  Your guests will be able to see exactly how every one of your guests is connected to you and each other.

Melangerie also has gorgeous seating charts that are along the same lines – great conversation starters!

Etsy Find Friday: Piper Blue

Friday, August 27th, 2010

I have never been a big jewelry wearer – my wedding rings, an occasional necklace and a simple pair of diamond studs is about it but the necklaces and earrings from Piper Blue might just change my ways.

I love their nature inspired items including their Orchid Trio necklace and Falling Twig necklace!  So lovely and delicate!  Given that everything in the shop is $30 or under, these would make great bridesmaid’s gifts!

Esty Find Friday: Cake Stands

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Now that I have two little girls, I find myself wanting to create traditions for them for holidays and birthdays and for them to see us celebrating anniversaries as well.  My parents did that for me as a child and I am forever grateful for that.

I love the idea that this cake stand from Vessels and Wares stamped with “You are special” could be used as a wedding cake stand and then throughout the years for birthdays or anniversaries or just for special dinners.  They also sell other styles – take a look at the cute ribbon cake stands. Love them!

Etsy Find Friday: Compass Cufflinks

Friday, August 13th, 2010

I love vintage maps and compasses – love them.  No idea why seeing as I have a terrible sense of direction and my GPS is my constant companion.  Now don’t get me wrong, I can use both – my days as a camp counselor gave me that skill along with the ability to sing a multitude of camp songs and convince 6th graders to cooperate.  All things that I now employ in working with rowdy bridal parties (kidding).

Remind your groom that he is your True North with Themap’s beautiful compass cufflinks.

They also do beautiful vintage maps on cufflinks, necklaces and money clips.  Perfect if you got engaged someplace other than home as a sweet reminder of that special trip.

Etsy Find Friday: Gourmet Marshmallows

Friday, August 6th, 2010

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness!  I have talked about candy bars, ice cream sundae bars, cookie displays, popcorn bars and donut stations but what about a flavored marshmallow station at your wedding?  Mia Mallows has 35 (THIRTY FIVE!) different flavors of handmade gourmet marshmallows that would be AH-mazing as a specialty bar for your guests to enjoy.  They are all tinted to reflect their colors so your marshmallow bar could be as colorful as you would like!

Those 35 flavors are (1)Banana, (2)Bavarian Cream, (3)Blueberry, (4)Caramel, (5)Cherry, (6)Chocolate, (7)Chocolate Chip, (8)Chocolate Mexican Style, (9)Chocolate Mint, (10)Red Hot Cinnamon, (11)Coconut, (12)Coffee, (13)Cotton Candy, (14)Dulce De Leche, (15)Eggnog, (16)Keylime Pie, (17)Lavender, (18)Lemon, (19)Lime, (20)Mango, (21)Maple, (22)Mixed Berries, (23)Orange, (24)Peach, (25)Peanut Butter, (26)Peppermint, (27)Pina Colada, (28) Pineapple, (29)Pomegranate, (30)Praline with Pecans, (31)Pumpkin Pie with Shortbread cookie crumbs, (32)Raspberry (33)Saltwater Taffy, (34)Strawberry, and (35)Vanilla.

At just $5 for 6 one and half inch cubes, these would make a great wedding favor too!

Great, now I am dreaming of a s’more made with a Peanut Butter marshmallow.  Oh, that would be heaven!  If you do a marshmallow bar at your wedding, send me pictures and I will post them!

Etsy Find Friday: Ruffle Trim Clutch

Friday, July 30th, 2010

I LOVE when brides and grooms pick different gifts for each member of their bridal party or similar but personalized gifts – I think it shows that some care was put into their gift.  That personal preference may be way I am so in love with the clutches from Davie and Chiyo.  They have so many different styles to choose from that you could easily pick a different style for each of your bridesmaids in a matching color.  Cohesive gift but personalized to each of your lovely ladies – brilliant!

The clutches run about $75 but if you order 3 or more of their custom bags, you get a 10% discount – buy 6 or more and you’ll get 15% off!  So I guess the question is whether your MOH is more of a Three Frills Clutch kind of girl or a Bow Clutch?  Somehow, I think she’ll be thrilled either way.

Etsy Find Friday: Custom Luminaries

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

I have done luminaries for weddings in the past – they look lovely so lining a sidewalk to help guide your guests to your reception or rimming a patio – but never like these pretty little ones from Paper Acorn:

Everything from the font to the color of the luminaries is customizable.  How sweet would these be on the ledge of a window wall?  Or along the back row of your outdoor ceremony so the guest see them as they are seated?

They also have really cute Custom Wine Markers which would be fun at your rehearsal dinner or a bridal shower!

Etsy Find Friday: Bethany Lorelle

Friday, July 16th, 2010

I have a confession to make – I am a binge crafter.  At least that is what the husband calls me – I go through spurts where I get really inspired and try all kinds of projects and make lots of stuff and buy random things to make things and then it just stops.  I am currently in the middle of a binge and one of the things I have tried to make is fabric flowers.

I can’t do it.

I have tried every different kind of fabric, all kinds of shapes, sizes – you name it.  I apparently have no ability to make flowers in that manner.  That is why I am so glad that someone else, i.e. Bethany Lorelle can make them and makes them really well.

featherflower

Yep, those are feathers.  How gorgeous is that?  And she has so many more varieties in her shop.  Go visit.

I am also coveting, yes, coveting the Sabrina Swarovski Crystal and Pearl necklace.  Soooo pretty.

Esty Find Friday: Love Silhouette

Friday, July 9th, 2010

I guess I have a thing for fingerprints.  I think this Love Silhouette print from Nella Designs would be a fantastic addition to your newlywed home!

lovesilouetteprint

I absolutely adore her Crossword Print too which would be a perfect Save the Date or shower gift too – so cute.
