Often my non-summer brides ask me what they should wear over their dresses in case it is chilly on wedding day.  I usually suggest a wrap, bolero or a shrug of some kind.  Because I am so often asked for suggestions, I am always on the hunt for pretty options for my brides so when I saw MaryandAngelika’s Etsy shop, I was excited to see the different options!

Mary and Angelika are a mother/daughter team who make beautiful bolero jackets and shrugs for weddings and special occasions.  They have different styles, sleeve lengths and fabrics as well as colors to pick from – I saw a gorgeous purple, black, yellow, couple of shades of blue, silver and of course, white and ivory!  Love the splash of color these would add to a bridal ensemble!

Pricing varies based on fabric and design but to give you an idea, the long sleeve satin jacket on the left is $70 and the silver silk dupioni design on the right is $85.  Each piece is custom made to your measurements so make sure you plan accordingly with regard to time before the wedding!

Mothers of the Bride pay attention – if you have your eye on a gorgeous strapless gown but want to cover up your arms (VERY common request from my moms), these would be perfect for you as well!

Oh my goodness, I do love this little pendant and these rings!  And I apparently have a thing for fingerprints.  Fabuluster will send a kit that captures your thumbprints, then make you this beautiful pendant or you can put each other’s fingerprints on your wedding bands.  Love!

This would be an amazing gift from a solider or sailor to his or her love before deployment – giving the person at home something to hold onto while they are gone.  On a mom note, I am really tempted to ask for the pendant with my little girl’s thumbprints on it!  I would love that for Christmas or Mother’s Day.

Most of the time the blue in the traditional ‘something blue’ is a bow or a sorority pin or a piece of blue jewelry either worn or pinned inside the bride’s gown.  I am a big fan of jewelry as something blue because you can wear it again after the wedding.  Obviously sapphires are snazzy but if you are looking for something a little less pricey, a charm for a charm bracelet would be lovely as well!

I love these little charms that fit on a Pandora charm bracelet from Sissy’s Pretties.  The top is hand stamped with initials and your wedding date and can either be silver or gold.  There are also several different shades of blue that you can order. It can either be tied to your bouquet or pinned to your dress.

These would be a great gift for a 2012 bride this holiday season!

I saw this on my favorite website at the moment, Pintrest, and just loved it!  LaLa Design Studio creates beautiful bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings out of sterling silver and 14K gold.  I love the initials joined by a heart!  So sweet!

The love ring is adorable too and I really like the idea of using her individual letter pendants as a mother’s necklace too!

Bringing back Etsy Find Friday to share with you a very cute guestbook idea!

Bella Puzzles Too creates these adorable custom guestbook puzzles from your photo.

You send her a picture, she creates a custom wooden jigsaw puzzle and ships it to you.  At your wedding, your guests sign the back of a piece and then either put the pieces into a basket or box or they help reassemble the puzzle at your reception.

Pricing ranges from a 20 piece,  11″ x 14″ puzzle for $80 to a 140 piece, 17″ x 21″ puzzle for $490.  The 140 piece is the largest puzzle available so if you need more pieces, she recommends that you do two puzzles.  Depending on the size, you can also include initials, the date, a symbol like a heart or your names in the puzzle in addition to the traditional jigsaw puzzle shaped pieces.

Lead time is long – 12 weeks – so you’ll need to plan ahead on this one!

I wish I had known about this for my daughter’s first birthday party – totally would have had one made for her!

Remember that movie “The Wedding Singer”?  And remember the giant wicker and red chairs that the banquet hall has the brides and grooms sit in?  Yes, those.  This post is NOT about those.  I do love when the bride and groom have something on their chairs to mark them as seats of honor – wreathes, flowers, signs of some kind.  So when I saw these lovely embroidered silk sashes from Bella Bride Designs, I knew I wanted to share!

I also love their custom cocktail napkins and custom candy buffet bags – so cute!

Forgive me for skipping last week’s Etsy Find – I was on site all day at a corporate event and didn’t get a chance to post! But I promise today’s find is worth the wait!

I love the trend of brides and maids and flower girls wearing flowers in their hair – whether they are real flowers or fake made from silk or feathers.  I was so excited when I saw Island Girl’s Design‘s real rose hairpin – how perfect would this sweet bobby pin with a real tea rose be for a flower girl?  LOVE!

Those are real roses that have been dipped in resin to preserve them – so cool!  The tea roses run $17 while the larger flowers go up from there.  I am currently coveting the large red rose hair piece ($40) – would look darling on a side pony (that’s for my Kentucky girls).
