Blue Champagne: Lunch at Tiffany's

What a lovely day! I attended the monthly luncheon for the Kentucky chapter of ABC. It was held at the Headley Whitney Museum. Set in the middle of horse farms, black fences lining the roads, gorgeous horses grazing on green grass for miles – what an incredible location!

The meeting was hosted by 3 Lexington coordinators – Jacki Boyd, Alicia DeBoor and Deanna Dillender. They did a fabulous job with the ‘Lunch at Tiffany’s’ theme. The tables were phenomenal with lilies as big as a toddler’s head from Three Toads Farm and there was Blue Champagne** – doesn’t get much more fabulous than that!

It was so nice to finally get to meet coordinators from around the state. I also got to see some coordinators I knew from past conferences who I really admire – it was very nice to catch up with them! A wonderful lunch with a wonderful group of ladies!

They even forgave me when I asked the most basic of Kentucky questions: When is the Derby? I now know it is the first Saturday in May (May 6 this year) and I promise I will never have to ask again!

**Blue Champagne is Champagne with Blue Curacao. Very, very yummy. I wasn’t sure after the first glass though so I had to have 2…the perils of my job!
