We spent Saturday back at The Darby House for Lindsay and Kevin’s wedding – we had perfect weather, a really wonderful couple and a great time! Kimberly Potterf Photography captured the day and was nice enough to share a little sneak peek – there are lots more coming (just wait – there was a lot of pretty!) but here are a few of my favorites to hold you over:
I. Love. This. Picture. This was at the very end of the night – people were dancing around them and the dance floor was packed but Kevin and Lindsay were so lost in each other…so incredibly beautiful and EXACTLY what I hope for every one of Emilie Duncan Event Planning’s couples.
We kicked off our 2011 wedding season on Sunday working with a fantastic couple – Megan and Michael! Cassidy Dawn Photography captured the day and I can’t wait to share all the photos and fun stories from the day (I promise to be better about that this year, I really do! I might even catch up on some of the recaps I have from 2010 too!). Until then, here are a couple sneak peeks of Megan and Michael’s rainy wedding day at The Darby House.
So, so pretty! Can’t wait to share more – thanks to Cassidy for letting me swipe these!
Waaaaay back when I was in high school, Darius Rucker was the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish – nowadays he is out on his own and has gone country. I heard this song the other day and loved it! I thought it would be fun for a fast first dance or a fun Anniversary Dance song if you have couples who can two step – not your every day choice but the lyrics are certainly appropriate!

Got a baby girl sleepin’ in my bedroom And her momma laughing in my arms There’s the sound of rain on the rooftop And the game’s about to start I don’t really know how I got here But I’m so glad that I did And it’s crazy to think that one little thing Could have changed all of it Maybe it didn’t turn out like I planned Maybe thats why I’m such, such a lucky man
For every stoplight I didn’t make Every chance I did or I didn’t take All the nights I went too far All the girls that broke my heart All the doors that I had to close All the things I knew but I didn’t know Thank God for all I missed Cause it led me here to this
Like the girl that I loved in high school Who said she could do better Or the college I wanted to go to Till I got that letter All the fights and the tears and the heartache I thought I’d never get through And the moment I almost gave up All led me here to you I didn’t understand it way back when But sittin’ here right now It all makes perfect sense
Every stoplight I didnt make Every chance I did or I didnt take All the nights I went too far All the girls that broke my heart All the doors that I had to close All the things I knew but I didn’t know Thank god for all I missed Cause it led me here to this
Oh I cried when my momma passed away And now I got an angel Looking out for me today So nothing’s a mistake
Every stoplight I didn’t make Every chance I did or I didn’t take All the nights I went too far All the girls that broke my heart All the doors that I had to close Everything I knew but I didn’t know Thank God for all I missed Cause it led me here to this
