Am I just late to the party on this one? I am loving her voice. She cannot be 18 years old – I was stunned to hear that little factoid. There is waaaayy too much soul in her voice for that age.

I cannot stop listening to You Had Me, Less Is More and Super Duper Love. I am sure that Hubby is getting a little sick of those three songs on repeat but he makes me listen to Pear1 Jam and that awful song, Ye11ow Ledbetter – I love Eddie as much as the next girl but SERIOUSLY, he isn’t saying anything in that song, he is mumbling nonsense words. I can do that to but it doesn’t mean it would make good music!

Anyway, I love Joss Stone.

Hubby and I are (were?) supposed to take a trip to New Orleans in early November. He is going for a conference and I haven’t been since I was a toddler – we thought it would be nice to take a vacation. Now…not sure. Will there even be a New Orleans to go to?

Farmer’s Almanac has predicted 14 will hit this year, Katrina is 11. Considering how strangely accurate FA is, I just hope the 3 others that are due to hit, hit soft.

Randy and I went to Detroit yesterday for my Grandma’s 80th birthday, my Aunt Kay and Mother’s birthdays, my parent’s 35th wedding anniversary. and the Woodward Dream Cruise.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is pretty cool – even for a non-car person like me. It is an annual gathering of over 40,000 cars cruising up and down a 17 mile stretch of Woodward Avenue. The cars range from Model Ts to muscle cars to tricked out cars that bounce. They also line them up doorknob to doorknob along the route – this was a gorgeous Cadillac that was for sale:

My Uncle has a Ford Meteor from the early 60′s. He also has a 12 foot trailer from the 50′s that he has restored to be very authentic 50′s – it is very cool! He and Randy and my other uncle took it out in the cruise – a few pictures:

We came back last night so it made for a long day but it was wonderful to see everyone for the celebrations and the Cruise.

I cannot believe that it cost me a whopping $42.50 to fill up my car.

I got a baby shower invitation in the mail today for one of my very first brides, Marcy!

You know, I talk about how I consider it such an honor to be part of people’s weddings and how I become a member of the family – this just reinforces to me that the feeling is mutual.

Off to buy baby gifts with a HUGE smile on my face!

Someone asked me the other day if all the photos on my site are from my weddings.

YES!

Every single photo on EDEP’s website are from weddings that I have planned and/or coordinated. Why would I put pictures on my site from someone else’s wedding? That is like a photographer or caterer putting examples of someone else’s work on their websites or a videographer showing someone else’s video!

So yes, every picture on www.emilieduncan.com is from one of my weddings.

Somewhat disturbing yet catchy…at least they don’t have the happy little back to schoolers frolicking around on giagantic butts in shiny gold shorts like Sir did. That would be creepy.

So, I was browsing – browsing is very innocent – on See Jane Work and came across these:

Sure, they look like a normal binder BUT on the left is a top 2 hole punch holder thinger (I am articulate, no?) and they sell 2 hole punched notepads that go over there! Right handers are thinking to themselves – So? Who cares? Yea, you wouldn’t understand, lefties of the world you know where I am going with this – no more writing while trying to avoid the rings! Can I get an Amen?!

Anyway, 3 of them, in a lovely color called Moss, somehow wound up in the shopping cart. I don’t know how because:
I certainly didn’t put them there.

Then, I was surfing around more and 2 of the notepads wound up in the shopping cart – weird, huh? It was like a little office supply elf was putting things in there, because:

Then, I noticed that business card holders and pocket dividers were in there. This was getting serious weird because as I have established:
I certainly didn’t put them there.

So, then somehow all that stuff wound up being paid for and will be at my house in 5 to 8 business days. I really don’t know how this happened. Again:
I certainly didn’t make that happen!

So…do you think Randy will believe me when I tell him that?
