So, in honor of today being the starting point for my journey to 101 things in 1001 days I have made reservations to complete one of my items:

64. Take a class in wine tasting

On June 21st, I will be taking a class entitled Varietals I: Understanding the Basic Six from the Cleveland Wine School. The class covers the six basic types of wine grapes and how to use that knowledge to select wines.

59 days until Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is released! Woo-Hoo!

In an attempt to tone down the fact that I am quite a dork, I add the following:
1 day until my dad’s birthday
30 days until my cousin Andrew’s wedding
59 days until Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince comes out
61 days until I turn 29!
82 days until my mom’s birthday
94 days until my parent’s 35th wedding anniversary
133 days until my 3rd wedding anniversary
152 days until Randy’s birthday

See? I have other things to look forward to!

Paparazzi, Helicopters, Pseudonyms and Shredders?

They are things that are standard at celebrity weddings according to a USA Today article.

I can honestly say that I have a lot of things in my emergency kit – as I have said before, I could take over a small country if the bridal party decided to give it a try. I don’t, however, have a shredder in my emergency kit. Something to add later I suppose.

I am so ridicuously in love with Trader Joe’s. I took a trip to my local store at lunch and this is what greeted me at the front door:

I got so excited about the 101 Things in 1001 Days project that I wound up getting my entire list down today!

May 19 will still be my official start date in honor of my Dad's birthday but the list is up and ready to be completed as of today!

Has anyone else noticed that there has been an upserge in the number of “things to do before you die”, “places to see before you die” and “life list” types of media? I have and I say good! About time we all start to appreciate the opportunity we have to live to the fullest. Or something like that.

I am working on my list of things I would like to accomplish in the next 1001 days. Giving me a little time to get my list together, I will start the clock on May 19, 2005 (also my Dad's birthday and since he has always encouraged me to do whatever I want and told me that I could be anything I wanted, it seems appropriate) – that puts my end date on February 14, 2008.

Look for the list May 19.

At this point there are 12 restaurants in the Cleveland area that are in the system: Austin's Woodfire Grille, Fire, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, Gamekeeper's Taverne, Molinaris, Morton's Steakhouse, Moxie, Red, Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Sushi Rock, Vivo and Waters Restaurant. Hopefully more will be added soon but this is a handy little site!
